Michigan Legacy PAC Gives Thanks, Supports Advocates for Democracy

PAC announces first endorsements and contributions to pro-democracy candidates

MICHIGAN – Today, Jocelyn Benson announced the first recipients of contributions from the Michigan Legacy PAC, a State PAC dedicated to fortifying democracy in the Great Lakes State. State Representatives Betsy Coffia, Jenn Hill, and Reggie Miller are slated to be the first beneficiaries of the PAC’s support.

“These three state lawmakers have shown tenacity in supporting historic pro-democracy reforms throughout the last year,” Benson said upon announcing the support. “They led the passage of legislation to enable pre-registration of 16 and 17 year olds, fought for greater government transparency, and supported funding for early voting and other key election needs. I am thankful for their leadership and grateful for the work of pro-democracy leaders around the state. The Michigan Legacy PAC is off to a great start and with the help of democracy defenders like Representatives Coffia, Hill and Miller we will continue to fortify our work statewide.”

Michigan Legacy PAC aims to support pro-democracy candidates at all levels of government in Michigan and foster a resilient network of democracy advocates across the state. The Michigan Legacy PAC will announce support for additional pro-democracy candidates before the end of 2023.
